Cornwall – April 2024

April is a good time to go to Cornwall to see the abundance of spring flowers growing in the dry-stone walls that direct country lanes through the rugged land. Woodlands, bursting into leaf, where spring water tumbles down from the West Penwith moors to the sea. Cliff tops touched by the wind from the Atlantic. White, blue, violet, yellow, lime green, turquoise, aqua. Fresh mouth-watering colours sparking in the clear Cornish Light.

Here are some sketches and splashes trying to capture the colour and movement of the season.
