I went to my favourite place for the last week in October 2025. My favourite place as you will get to know me is the West Penwith District of Cornwall. I like to go to this area at different times of the year, as the light and colours of the coast and moorland change with the seasons, providing a different colour palette to work with.  The colours of the moorland to note, were yellow & red ochre vegitataion, burnt sienna bracken with shots of orange, flesh toned pink grasses, burgundy heather bushes, blue black trees, mixed with green moorland in the distance.  It was difficult to paint plein air due to the changeable weather conditions, getting windier by towards the end of the work, but I got some colours down in paint and in photographs, if not in my head.
